Sedje Hémon (pseudoniem for Sedje Frank) was born in Rotterdam in 1923.
She lived and worked in Amsterdam, The Hague, Paris, Nice and Athens, among other places.
After 1950 she lived in The Hague. Hémon is self-taught and received instruction from Willem Schröfer, where she developed a trend towards non-figurative painting. In 1962 she started studying and producing her own paintings and music.
Prof. Jaffe of Amsterdam discovered her paintings can be transposed into musical notation and scores. Hémon is a member of various artists' associations.
Several exhibitions in the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles in Paris. In 1956 she had expositions in the Galerie Collette Allendy and Gallery Connaître in Paris and in 1960 in the L'Incontro gallery in Rome.
